Question re sovereigns

Hi anyone who has any sovereigns in their collection .... I bought a half sov 2004 recently I already have an full sov older one, 1968 and an Isle of Man one (can't remember date).

Are they always 22c? It seems to me some are more coppery looking than others, don't know if that is just my imagination.

It is a beautiful coin anyway!:D

Thanks.

Hi,

I have some sovereigns, they are all about 90% pure gold. Looks pretty safe bet to me.

Thanks as always Silverity for your input. I know it is mostly psychological, but the half sovereigns, much the same price, seem SOOO much bigger and chunkier and real than the 1/10 oz .999!:D

I think the sovereigns are .917 pure and are .235 of an ounce something like that.
